Abstract: Calculations of the energy levels of atoms and ions with Z ≤ 10 are carried out in this paper using the variational method. New wave function with two terms including correlation was performed to calculate excited (ns2) 1Se, (np2) 1De, (nd2) 1Ge, (nf2) 1Ie, (nh2) 1Me and (ng2) 1Ke states with (n ≤ 7). The results obtained show quantitatively the great significance of electron correlation effects in the doubly excited states. These results are in compliance with some experimental and theoretical data.

Abstract: The aim of this paper is to investigate some optimal slope mixture designs in the second degree Kronecker model for mixture experiments. The study is restricted to weighted centroid designs, with the second degree Kronecker model. For the selected maximal parameter subsystem in the model, a method is devised for identifying the ingredients ratio that leads to an optimal response. The study also seeks to establish equivalence relations for the existence of optimal designs for the various optimality criteria. To achieve this for the feasible weighted centroid designs the information matrix of the designs is obtained. Derivations of D-, A- and E-optimal weighted centroid designs are then obtained from the information matrix. Basically this would be limited to classical optimality criteria. Results on a quadratic subspace of H-invariant symmetric matrices containing the information matrices involved in the design problem was used to obtain optimal designs for mixture experiments analytically. The discussion is based on Kronecker product algebra which clearly reflects the symmetries of the simplex experimental region.

Abstract: In this work, a cumsum approach is used to detect change-point in mean of an independent normal random variables. A multiple shift in the mean level was considered and show how such a problem can be straightforwardly addressed through the cumsum approach. Data gotten from Cocoa Research Institute of Nigeria were used and from the result of the analysis, a single change point was detected in the amount of rainfall and a multiple change point was detected in the amount of minimum temperature and no change point was detected in the amount of maximum temperature.

Abstract: The solutions of the Schrodinger equation with Kratzer plus Modified Deng-Fan potential have been obtained using the parametric Nikiforov-Uvarov (NU) method which is based on the solutions of general second-order linear differential equations with special functions. The bound state energy eigenvalues and the corresponding un-normalized eigen functions are obtained in terms of Jacobi polynomials. Also special cases of the potential have been considered and their energyeigen values obtained.
